It’s another Ribeye music video, this time It’s a loving look at the Stockholm syndrome through the eyes of the splendid German actress Antje Schmiele. The Video deals with a hostage crisis in three different time frames, the song itself being one, the visuals happening a few days later, and textual epilogue concerning the immediate aftermath. Perhaps a bit much for a song that most people hate. But we here at Tiptoe think it’s quite hum-able. Oh yes, the epilogue was most certainly inspired by “Mother Küster’s goes to Heaven.” And truth be told, the footage itself is actually made up of outtakes from another German film “The Insurance” by Jens Roth. That Daniel shot. All apologies. But we love her.

Another classic case of a video which has nothing to do with the song. The song itself by Caleb Fraid concerns his disgust as a cashier receiving sweaty money from people’s back pockets, since we here at Tiptoe hardly ever have any money, we found this theme hard to relate to. We thought it’s time for yet another video about delusion, disappointment, and loneliness. So we decided to call Mr. Tischler! He is the one guy we know who will eat paper and get naked for us without batting an eyelash.

This is a music video by the Texas Lo-Fi band, Ribeye, Which includes one of Mr. Tischler’s most inspired performances as both a Wal-Mart shopping cart wrangler and victim of a horrible intrusion. Though chosen completely at random, we here at Tiptoe have been assured by Astrological experts that our depictions of the various star signs are dead on. So we will trust in that.

The first thing I must absolutely stress before you watch this film is PAY ATTENTION! This film is only two minutes long and so you might miss something.Pay attention!You probably won’t understand the situation until after a second or third viewing.But I believe it may be worth to you.There is an aesthetic and overall psychological effect we are attempting to acheive but that will all be lost if you don’t pay attention.SO PAY ATTENTION! Alright,so I guess I’ve ranted and raved long enough about that.I would be very amiss if I did not mention in this intro the brilliant performance of Amelia Bedelia Star Stritzel III.In its noirish aspects,I think it equals some of Barbara Stanwyck’s f inest work and as far as the quality of its camp value I think one would have to troll around in some of Paul Morrissey’s old films to find its equal. And…Oh yes, Alex Meister is also quite fine as a corpse.

It must be said up front that this film is an extremist right-wing fantasia.It will not be everyone’s cup of tea.It is highly offensive to most of the major religions of the world, If not freedom-loving people everywhere.This is why I believe this film will appeal greatly to the majority of the American market and will eventually earn us millions If not a talk show on Fox News discussing the film world and the culture in general. Daniel and I have been debating what to call our talk show. He thinks Stuff Happens would make a good title. I think Culture Warriors Tonight would be better.What do you think? Anyway,this film is no more immoral than any love story which is really what this film is at the end of the day. We would like to dedicate this film to the memory of Theo Van Gogh.
Famous Last Chances

To understand what “Famous Last Chances” is about, it is perhaps best to first look at the alternative titles the filmmakers had considered: “Three Men in a Boat”, (already taken), “The Isolationists”, “Never a Kiss When a Kick Will Do”, My Memory’s a Hydra”, and “When Masturbation Fails Us”.
Duncan and Scheimberg with no money, no time, no script, and with one barely working camera, have tried to create a poetic look at loneliness in America. And by poetic I mean desperate, sad, cruel, and funny and by loneliness, I mean total self-absorption and rampant solipsism, and by America, I mean, everywhere. People will, more than likely, not relate to this film. They will feel infinitely superior to the trashy losers, mama’s boys, and genuinely evil mind-fuckers that populate this film. So… that’s something. It’s a start… Right?
